
Here’s your chance to bring out your inner Braveheart, don the kilt, put on the battle face paint, get
active in the great outdoors and run for the hills... like a 'Highlander'
Charge into the wilderness to the exhilarating sound of the bagpipes as you prepare to battle with mother nature. Stay focused on the task
ahead and keep an eye out for the mysterious 'Haggis' out on course! Cross the finish line unscathed with your Clan, collect the custom
'Highlander Finishers ' medal and happily tell your thighs… the challenge is complete.
Participants complete two laps of a 2.5km course:

This event is FREE for anyone of any age and ability, just turn up with your best Braveheart face and Scottish themed outfit. You can run, walk or highland fling this one at your pace, it’s not officially timed. Sorry, no pets, bicycles, scooters, hand cycles, skateboards or rollerblades are permitted. For safety reasons, we request those with strollers to start from the back of the pack.

Venue address - Australia Standing Stones - Watsons Drive, Glen Innes. There are free buses from the Visitor Information Centre. Buses depart from 7am.
8am start. The Highland Games field is the start and finish line.
Entry to the ‘Highland’ Run is FREE, thanks to the support from Glen Innes Council and the NSW government.

Yes, there will be First aid personnel located at the start/finish to provide assistance if required.
Please don’t attend if you have been sick or have had flu like symptoms in the two weeks prior to the event day. We wouldn’t want you to
potentially putting your health, and the health of fellow Highlanders, at risk. If you have any injuries we would suggest you do not
participate for your own health and wellbeing.
