Centaur Outdoor Events is a company that has been designing, building and delivering a diverse range of fun and challenging outdoor fitness events, in some amazing locations, since 2010.

Our mission is to listen to you, our loyal participants, and how you have imagined you would like to be challenged and entertained, and then recreate your vision and bring it to life, but even better than you could EVER have imagined! Since our first highly successful Twin Peaks Challenge, which supports Ronald McDonald House Charity annually, we have gone on to create the muddy awesome Suck it up Buttercup Mud Obstacle Race, the challenging Bush’n Bay Adventure Race Series, and the unique Mini Muddies High School Obstacle Challenge – you ask for it, and we deliver it to you!

Centaur Outdoor Events are special. Every mud pit and dam, every rope climb and hill, every bike leg and paddle past – it all ends with something sweet - it’s all about the memories.

We believe that through fitness events, we can bring everyday people together so they can realise their full potential and live their lives through fun.
We strive to bring people together from all 'walks of life', to empower, motivate , excite and unite; to push everyday people out of their comfort zones, and deliver an amazing experience away from the 'daily grind', creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Use your entire body to push through boundaries, climb over and under obstacles, wade through water and mud, tackle tough terrain and really let go of all inhibitions, while you’re having a laugh at yourself (and others), and living life as it was intended – with sheer delight!

Local Support and Respect

Centaur Outdoor Events actively supports the communities in which its events are delivered, being mindful of your community’s hopes and wishes, respectful of your property, peace, and right to privacy, and make every effort to leave your town exactly the way we found it, albeit happier for the experience. We actively research what’s going on in your area so that we don’t clash with your other favourite events, and we hope to leave you with a positive impression so that you might invite us back again!

Refunds & Transfers

All registration entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

Please ensure at the time of registering for your event that you are completely committed to participating in the event and able to attend. This policy applies to all registrants, all events, and in all cases, whether you are unexpectedly injured, have a family or business emergency, a medical emergency, scheduling conflict, active duty or deployment, or for any other reason.

Should you find that you will not be able to attend your event, you may have another person take your place in the event. There will be no online transfer facility available. Please provide a printed copy of your paid registration to your substitute participant, who needs to present this, along with their signed waiver, to Registration staff on the day of the event.

Event Cancellation

Centaur Outdoor Events will make every effort to deliver events as scheduled, however courses and schedules may be modified at the discretion of the Organisers. By registering for any event, you accept that the Organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone (if possible) the event at their discretion due to, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, terrorism, acts of God, insufficient participants, safety issues or any other reason the organisers deem reasonable.

If the course/venue has to be changed due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, there will be no refunds.

If the race needs to be cancelled due to unforeseeable circumstances, and an alternative date or venue cannot be fixed, and Centaur Outdoor Events deems it reasonable to refund registered paid participants, this will only be to the account from which payment was made, and will be the registration fee paid only. No credit card fees, processing fees or any other fees incurred will be refunded should an event be cancelled. In the event of a refund, our payment portal, at their discretion, charge an administration fee which is also non-refundable.

All paid registrations will be notified via the email provided at the time of registration.

Ronald McDonald House® Tamworth is one of 13 Houses in Australia, dedicated to providing a home away from home for thousands of families each year. When a child is seriously ill and the care they need is a long way from home, Ronald McDonald House® provides somewhere to stay close by, allowing the family to remain together.

As you probably know yourself, when you are ill, having those that love you by your side, a shoulder to cry on, or a kiss goodnight when you’re stuck in hospital can make all the difference. The House is an ideal place for families to be together, offering the comforts of home during one of the most critical times in their lives.

Ronald McDonald House® Tamworth is run by a small team of professional, caring staff backed up by friendly dedicated volunteers who help out with practical tasks and keep everything running smoothly. The House is a vital support service for so many families in need, offering warmth and inspiration and allowing friendships to be formed as families share a similarly challenging journey. The House is a place where everyone understands the importance of small ‘wins’ and the celebrations that come with them, along with the empathy and outpouring of love when facing immense sadness in their lives.

Ronald McDonald House® does not receive government funding, and therefore relies completely upon the generosity and commitment from the community to keep its doors open to families who are in need. Your involvement and support in the Twin Peaks Challenge will help to make a real difference!
